The Abingdon Arms Beckley is our closest and preferred pub. It’s a sensational country pub with a great beer garden and lunch specials of 2 courses for £12. From Lower Farm it’s half way along a 4 mile walk around Otmoor. Re-opened in 2017 under new community ownership, having had a total revamp to decor and food – a fabulous gastro pub with a welcoming, warm and cosy atmosphere!!
The Bell at Hampton Poyle offers great food at sensible prices. It’s smart but relaxed in a traditional country pub.
The Talkhouse in Stanton St.John is a beautiful traditional pub serving proper pub grub.
In Murcott, on the other side of Otmoor from us, we are lucky enough to have The Nut Tree Inn, a beautiful thatched pub where you can go for a pint and a pub meal, or splash out and go for its fine dining, it has a Michelin star!
The Red Lion in Islip was taken over by the ‘Jacobs Inn’ Group in 2017 and is an excellent choice. Delicious on-trend food and beer garden with chickens and pygmy goats to entertain the children.
There are lovely, well-stocked village shops in the surrounding villages of Islip and Stanton St John.
Rectory Farm in Stanton St John is just 2 miles from Noke. It boasts a fantastic, foodie Farm Shop and fabulous PYO Farm. There is also a lovely Adventure Playground and Cafe for all the family to enjoy.
